Every mom asks, what should I wear?

And I always say to first, be comfortable. Sometimes easier said than done, but mama, you've got enough you're worrying about for everyone else in your family. Try to be comfortable so you're feeling confident and not like to have to be fixing or adjusting all along the way. You'll enjoy your session and love the results more.

Dress yourself first. Find what you love for you, and then you can easily coordinate what everyone else is wearing from there. Just remember to coordinate, not match.

And a trend I've been noticing in my last several sessions? Moms are looking pretty in pink. Dusty rose, petal pink, there's something for everyone. Flowy, feminine, complimentary to all skin tones, and so easy to coordinate with, pink has been a proven winner this summer. You can take it in a light and airy pastel direction, or go for something more bold with navy and jewel tones for the rest of your crew. Pink is one of those staple colors that can go wherever you'd like, and look good doing it.

As I'm photographing around cities in Snohomish County, I've yet to be in a place where pink wouldn't fit right in.

So if you're looking for a place to start in planning your family's wardrobe for your photo session, take some inspiration from these gorgeous moms, who all chose to wear pink!
